I just completed a bandwidth test at cnet and testmy.net using Opera Mini 4.2 and am getting crazy results like 3026.7 kbps.

Can anyone explain this? I retested several times and am getting close to the same results each time. Any input would be appreciated!

Opera Mini loads the web pages via their own servers and then sends the data to your device. The servers are getting those speeds not youre phone.

Thanks for the clarification. Do you know of anyway of testing the phone's speed rather than the servers?

You are getting the speed result between proxy servers as said above.

On EDGE, you should get between 50-125 kbps average with a max of around 300 kbps and theoretical max of 384 kbps.
