Why does the keypad backlight not stay lit while i'm texting on my 8530? I know that the backlight sensor controls the backlight when in very bright or dark areas, but my keypad backlight seems very spazzy. It goes on and off at weird times and sometimes stays off while texting. I would like it to stay lit while texting. My setting are set correctly in options also.

It will go off if there is sufficient light to see the letters. It is to save battery life. You could try turning off the automatic backlight brightness in Options/ Screen + Keyboard.
