that means you need to click on File > Connect > and enter all the database information and the click on the "Test Connection" button. after you click that button what does it say? but besides doing that I will have to add an option to the connection string form for non-default port numbers to be used.

I have added the ability to use a non-default port number in version 1.0.0.5 that has been posted.

Question what version of BES are people using???

what version of BES are you guys/gals using with this app? I'm just curious to see what version work correctly and what versions dont because I'm not sure about the database design changes RIM puts in place with each version. so if the app works correctly for you, say so and also put the version you are using

Im running 4.1.4 MR5

Hello All, I'm new the BB Admin circut - still getting the feet wet. Anyone know of a good monitoring tool that will tell me if/when BB isn't syncing e-mail. We use BES for MSExchange. I have a blackberry but the only reason I know to look at the server is if I suspect I should have gotten an e-mail and haven't, that isn't what I call solid monitoring.

thanks in advance!!

Yes, you can see all of the same stats using the Blackberry Manager console, but for helpdesk users, etc....it can be useful. Using this you dont have to load the blackberry manager onto their pc's and then try to keep it up-to-date when a new sp is released. this is exactly how i use it in my org. just meant to be a simple utility to view stats.

This type of reporting and much more can be accomplished with the tool:

StealthAUDIT

Check it out at:

stealthbits.com

Look for the BlackBerry Solution.

We also have AD & Exchange Reporting with Correlation to BlackBerry.

If you have any other questions please don't hesitate to ask.

Stealth:

Thanks for the tip, but it seems like overkill for what some of the admins here are looking for - out of curiousity, how much is Stealth Audit?

Thank you for writing this utility & making it available.

I've just tested this on our BES v4.1.5.26 & it worked 1st time!

Would it be possible for you to add the SIM ID column?

On the BES, if I do an Asset Summary Export or Statistics Export, then neither of the resulting files contains the SIM ID column.

Thanks in advance!
