Talking OS: 8700 4.5.0.75 / 4.5.0.52 (MultiLanguage/East Asian Lang)

Please Login to Remove!

Software For BlackBerry 8700f(TM)

BlackBerry Handheld Software v4.5.0.75 (Multilanguage)

Package Version: 4.5.0.75
Consisting of:
Applications: 4.5.0.52
Software Platform: 2.7.0.66
File name: 8700M_PBr4.5.0_rel75_PL2.7.0.66_A4.5.0.52_Orange.e xe
File size: 63.67MB

https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads...3F7A83B1AC75B4

East Asian Language Support version: Click Here.

Instructions for installing:

This OS will work on any GSM/GPRS/EDGE 8700c/g/v/f/r
1. Make sure you have the latest version of Desktop Manager installed.
2. Download the above file to the PC then install it to the PC by running the file you downloaded.
3. Locate the vendor.xml file and delete it. It's located in c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader
4. Plug in BB and Open Desktop Manager. You should be prompted to upgrade.
The process takes about 45 minutes to an hour depending on how much data you have to backup and restore during the process. Once it's done loading the new OS it will reboot (it may do this twice during the entire process.) You will see a white screen with an hourglass for up to 20 minutes at a time while the DM says "waiting for initialization."
If you end up with a white screen with small icons and the number 507, simply connect to DM again and run application loader again and it should load the OS to the device.

If you are using ATT service with your tmobile 8700g, please report back whether you have missing internet browser problem. Thanks.

Not sure why there would be a missing browser on this. ATT offers the 8700 and will be offering 4.5 soon so everything should work. The browser service book issue usually shows up when you put a device on a carrier that doesn't offer that particular device.

Wirelessly posted (BB 11020)

.37 was the only version that had sim card issues. This version works great on the 8700.

Looks good, no issues so far and seems bit faster then .37 and .42. Still can't get the RSA softfob going, my only problem with 4.5.

I am using ATT and an ATT 8700c and I have lost my internet browser. I do have the Cingular Wap browser but I prefer BB's browser. Any work arounds?

Yes, go to Options >Advanced Options >Host Routing Table. Hit the menu key and select "Register Now."

Already tried that JC. Even went so far as to delete all service books except Provisioning and resend. No luck. I'm wondering if there is a brand specification in the program somewhere?
Also, suddenly I have Voice Notes working on an ATT device that does not support MMS.

Go to the ATT website and resend the service books. There is a specific place to resend the browser service book.

It will come. Sometimes AT&T takes a while.

Re-registering the device and resending the service books didn't work for me either. There has to be a way to get the bb browser onto the 8700g while using At&t.

There's no reason for there to not be a browser.

JC, you wouldn't happen to have the link, would you?

You mean a different location than
BlackBerry Internet Service
?
Are you talking about ATT support website?
A specific place to resend BB internet browser would be the answer but I don't know where to look JC.

Yeah, there should be a place to resend service books from there. There used to be a specific place to send browser service books, too. But it's been a long time since I've been to the ATT BIS page. That could have been on old BIS 1.8.

Ah, ancient history...there's only the resend service books radio button. Nothing specifically for browsers. Any other ideas?
