You have to click the wheel and select Modules (as was posted in earlier) and delete the module itself, and not the application.

I got it downloaded, but now when I click on the icon, I get:

Error starting gmaps8700_v4_0_L1: Error loading module 'gmaps8700_v4_0_L1' too many apps on device.

I realize that I have 2 Beiks dictionaries loaded (the Medical Dictionary and the Medical Acronyms Dictionary), but I only have around 30 icons - I wouldn't think I have too many apps. Status shows File Free: 37211068 Bytes. Am I just out of memory ?

Download from here: Google Maps then zoom in to your area and then click for trafic.

It's highly inaccurate for Houston. I don't know how it works but I'd guess that it uses incident reports. At 6:00pm on a weekday, no freeway in Houston is green despite what GMM claims.

Thanks for the heads-up, takeshi! I'm also in Houston, so once I get this working (see my error message above), I'll check it out, too. How far south does the Houston traffic map go? I drive to/from Clear Lake down the Beltway to I45 South...

I live in LA and I tested it in morning traffic on the 10-West around 9:45ish and the traffic feed was accurate to every turn! Amazing!

Houston Guys,

It seemed fairly accurate this week. The rain days were messed up, even click2houston.com's weather site was way off! But on 290, etc. there have been some days in the afternoon at 6PM were traffic was moving alot faster than what we've gotten used to.

Yes, I just downloaded it yesterday. SD shows traffic just fine. Question though, when I downloaded the upgraded version it put a second icon on the screen leaving the other icon (the old version) there also. Does anyone know how to delete it? I tried deleting the application but still there.

If you install version 1.3 on top of 1.2, you won't see the traffic even after a reboot - in fact you won't even see version 1.3.

You have to manually delete the 1.2 module. See this post:
Google Local 1.3 - W-Traffic Updates

Wirelessly posted (Thumpers 8700c: BlackBerry8700/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

Is there a download link to install from the app loader? I'm unable to do OTA on our BES policy, but I can install via app loader.

Ok, I tried to post on the Google discussion group about getting a version I can install with app loader. That pointed me to a link where I can get JAD or JAR files, but I'm used to my app loader using .alx files. Is there another way I can install these, or do I need another link?
