Default BB bold suddenly off,red light flashing

Please Login to Remove!

Hello,

I have been using Blackberry Bold for two weeks now (its from T-mobile and qwertz version). Now i'm in Abu Dhabi, using Etisalat provider. Yesterday, i dunno the exact time and how, i saw my LED light is blinking. I thought its a sign that i received an email of other alert. But when i tried to turn on my device, it didnt work (pressed the red power button). I tried to take out the battery, it didnt work also. The screen is still black untill now, but the red LED light keep on blinking 1..3..1...3 times. Tried to take out the battery, let it be for 12 hours, then when i put it back still doesnt work. Can anybody tell me what happen with my bold, and what should i do to fix this? Thanks. i've tried following all the steps to use JLCmdr, and my bold still doesnt connect with the comp.Tried the next step using the AppLoader from the command prompt, but i cant find any option for BBpin to choose the connection. The connection option is blank, there is not any com1,com2,etc.can please somebody tell me.Getting really frustrated.
Kudos! Thanks!

Usual, obvious, questions, of course:

Did you drop it? Could it have gotten wet (in a sweaty pocket, even)? Do you have a media card, and have you tried again with the card removed?

Hello,

Yup i installed micro sd card before, now it has been taken out, still the same condition. Not dropped at all. It works just fine, then when it went to sleep mode, i saw a red light, and i tot there was an email came in.but suddenly it couldnt be turned on. Tried to follow the instruction from some of the forum, like wipe using JLCmdr, but it doesnt detect. Tried the command promp using the AppLoader, but no option for the connection.
Any input?thank you very much once again

No possibility of moisure damage?

What about heat? Any possibility it has gotten too hot?

I'm thinking hardware damage or failure. See what others say.

Welcome to the group. Sorry about the circumstances. Wish I could be more encouraging.

If it's not active, you don't have to enter it. It just needs a way to access the device if it's password protected.

took out the battery, no light of course. but when it is connected to my laptop. the light blinks again without any battery, the power of course come from my laptop. im not an expert, but doesnt this show that my usb port in my device works just fine?so small risk that it would be hardware malfunction. most likely it software right?really frustrated..ahaha..been dealing with this the whole day

Hae you tried a new battery? Or letting the current one sit on the charger for a while?

The only time I saw this I had a mostly dead battery. Borrowed another from a known working Bold and I was good to go.

Depending on what apps you have running, the battery can run down very quickly.

I have tried to change the battery with my friend's (which is also Bold, and working just fine in his handset), but seems like no improvement. Now my battery has run out,so the LED has stopped blinking, but when i change this to my friend's battery, the Red Light Flashes again. If only somebody now, what does the 1..3..1..1..3 flashes mean..thanks

Googling around for LED flash error codes, even if there is such a thing (and I don't know for certain that there is, only that it would make sense that there is). Found http://www.blackberryforums.com/hard...tml#post312640. Take it for what it's worth. I'll look a little more.

Update: I found other mention that the blackberry does blink an error code, but no links to an explanation. Nothing at blackberry.com, at least nothing I could find.

tea02_05, the fact that you left the blackberry unattended and came back to find it boogered up is new info. May explain the password, but hard to see how it explains the other troubles. Do you have any goofballs around you that would mess with your stuff like that?

What have you tried?

First thing is a battery pull. Wait a good minute. Try again if it doesn't fix it first or second time.

What about the battery? Do have a friend or someone in the office that can loan you a battery for a minute? Or drop into a store.

Last step would be wipe with JL_CMDER and reinstall OS.

The bold ended up having a faulty memory it wouldn't even turn on. The light with flash in sequences which gave a binary error code.

no one repaired it had to get another one
