Why is this 4.1 slower than the 4.0? As far as I can tell so far there was no reason to upgrade. Maybe Im missing something. Is there an advantage to this upgrade besides themes?

my 7290 always crashed when scrolling down to the bottom in the options/security/general screen. This version doesnt have that problem anymore (or did this always work on previous 4.1 versions for others?).

For me it works fine untill now

Default Extra Mail icon...

Anyone else get an extra Mail icon with their email address showing on one of them? I assume this has to do with BIS.

morenar, I got that when i added additional email addresses (after upgrading to 4.1). but I am on BES....

since the main mail box acts like a 'master' mail box icon (with all email addresses flowing there, as well as their individual icons), i just hid the additional mail icons because i didn't need them.

Thanks biellos. The only thing different that I notice is that PIN's do not go to one Mail Inbox only SMTP emails.

Default Reminder problem...

Something else I noticed is if a reminder comes up and you dismiss the top of the screen where the date/time is dissapears. You have to go into email or another icon and back out then is shows up.

Even though the link on TMO says .365 dated 5/18 the software says it's .309. I would hate to go through all the trouble of wiping and reloading to find it's the same software.

<drops to knee's> I'M so confused! </rises again>

Any idea why they made the release date 5/19? Any idea why the package and application version can't match? I was looking for TMO to release a corrected version.

Every release has 3 unique build numbers. You have the application version, platform version, and package version. The application and platform version number are the ones you want to pay attention to.

Think of it this way...
Application 100 + Platform 100 = Package 100
Application 200 + Platform 100 = Package 101
Application 100 + Platform 200 = Package 102

I always pay attention to the package version first, and then look at the applications, and then to the platform.

If you're into the latest and greatest for an application change, OS update, possibly a new theme, or some new OS-related feature or bug fix, etc., then the Applications is where you want to look. If you're having issues with network connectivity or bluetooth connectivity, then you will want to look at the Platform. Either way, the Package version will be updated, even with the slightest change in either of the other two.
