Is there a way to put the contacts from your sim card on the blackberry without having to select the sim card contacts from the options in address books everytime on 8700g..also if i were to buy software from a site like handango how do i go about installing it on my blackberry

Go to Address book >Click the wheel and select Sim Phone Book. After it loads, click the wheel and select "Copy All to Address Book."

I did that and it worked ... until the next time I went to the adress book. The BB claimed I had a business category but *NO Addresses* !!

I did check options and it did show a ciorrect count of 174. So I redid the copy from SIM to addressbook. And this has been repeated 4 times now.

Am I missing something or is there a way to get it working - and stay working?

You can copy contacts from the BB to the sim. However, on the sim you get only one number per name and you have to transfer them one by one.

Sounds like you are viewing the address book with a filter. Go to Address Book > Filter and remove any checkmarks. All your contacts will now be viewable.
