You should be able to scroll down next to the "Mobile Network" entry and click the trackball to check off that box. THat will turn the radio back on.

if your battery is below 10% your radio will not reconnect unless you charge the bb.

Default Radio Off on Blackberry Curve

The other day i bought a media card and tried putting it in my phone then after a while i gave up then all of a sudden my battery died, and the radio was off. I went home to charge it all night and its still the same now (battery died, radio off). I tried taking the battery and stuff out then retrying it but it didnt work. Then i tried the Manage Connections thing but it said the battery was to low, but it wont charge! i need help ): Greatly Appreciated. (:

Try this if you havent already..

Turn on your phone the when the phone is on take the battery out and the simcard and then put the battery back on (with out the simcard) turn the phone on and back off ,,put the simcard in and check if the problem is solved...

let me know if it works.

Thumbs up

Blackberry Curve 8330
Verizon Wireless

This just happened to me. I ran my mouth on the phone and the battery life went down to 0%. It wasn't until I looked in the OPTIONS then STATUS section of my BB that I found that it was in RADIO OFF status.

So all I did to solve this was take the battery out while the phone was turned on and then count to 10 and put the battery back in. Then when I turned it back on, the hourglass showed up and it took awhile but it finally loaded my applications again. I waited a minute after that and all of my emails and text messages dropped in.

When I looked in my OPTIONS under STATUS, the signal no longer said RADIO OFF. Instead it showed that I had dBM's coming through and I was able to make a call. IF you get to this point and it doesn't work and you're on Verizon Wireless you might have to also call the *228 reprogramming number from your cell phone so that they can reprogram your phone over the air.

I hope this helps those who need it!

Thanks to the user who said to take the battery out and replace. That worked for me!
I didn't have to remove the SIM card though.

What does he think this Forum is for? I wonder if his company likes free( maybe not free) email support tying up support reps.

hmmmm, I did not notice a response to the problem
