Default why does t-mobile constantly have problems?

Please Login to Remove!

friends have reported that when they try calling me they usually get
"all circuits are busy please try again"

and on top of that i've been receiving delayed texts as well as sending texts that arrive delayed.

blank pic texts are becommin an issue again too!

i guess this is why they have the cheapest plans?

I've been having major issues with them over the past 2 weeks. My future sister in law who works at one of their customer service call centers has indicated that they have been swamped lately with a range of problems and obviously they're "working on them 24/7" haha.

I've called them over 15 times in the past 2.5 weeks due to numerous issues. They've only been this bad when they FIRST got the Sidekick II, and I managed to get 3 or so months of free service out of them. Now they're giving me nothing, not even a cheaper bb curve

You have an awful lot of problems - like posting every day. Had T-Mobile for years and nowhere near the problems you've had.

I think it's area-related. I haven't had any problems with T-Mobile in the NYC area in my many years of service.

Must be area related. I've had T-Mobile since they were "Voicestream", and service has been, generally, spectacular for several years. I've noticed no outages that I can remember -- service and signal are excellent. I'm in central NJ, and spend most of my time between Washington, DC, north up through Philadelphia and all through NJ, and up into NYC and on to New England (less native T-Mo there, but good roaming agreements in most areas).

I haven't had any of the outages or "APN issues" mentioned in this thread at all. Fine in my part of town.

You're right. KC Metro area for me... however I barely consider Lawrence a suburb of KC.

T-Mo has been awesome for me wherever I've been so far. I really think issues are area-related.

Don't even get me started on Nexthell! :(

Wow! Voicestream? I didn't know that's what they were called before!

Well, now I understand why the apn is www.voicestream.com.

Bah, what about when voicestream was Aerial? Now that was an innovative GSM provider. I have previously been a nextel user and actually feel the service is far worse with T-Mo and in some areas only getting GSM, not even GPRS, kind of kills the BB side of things.

But nextel was quickly going downhill for me so I think it was a lateral move for me at this point in time.

I got random disconnects on EDGE while talking, poor UMA performance on different connections, GSM only service while on a T-Mo tower. I was traveling alot, but was always near a larger city / downtown area.

I love my T-Mobile service and customer service, but I can definitely agree I've been having SMS and MMS problems for the last few weeks, especially to/from different carriers. My wife is still with Verizon and hasn't switched over yet and sometimes I send her SMS messages while I'm working and they show up 6 hours later while we're sitting on the couch. I also get SMS messages hours after my friends send them. And I'm also getting complaints from friends that MMS messages I've sent them are just a black pic. I'm sure they'll get it straightened out but in the meantime it's annoying.

i sometimes do have some probelms with tmo and i work and go to scool in nyc. i was previously with sprint, and although this is a bit shocking, i feel i had better reception with sprint than i do with t-mo. i generall do not have any reception problems with t-mo.

when i am at home in LI, i miss phone calls sometimes. my phone doesnt even ring. which sucks, but its not the biggest problem for me since i spend more time working an on the run than i do at home.

as for blank pic messages. i thought i was getting that too. but i discovered something yesterday (which will perhaps reveal my newb status to blackberry) when you receive your message and it says "content not retrieved yet", press the menu button and select "retrieve now", and your pic should come up. it seems so simple ad i had no idea about it untill recently!

I hope you guys are calling them and giving them a hell of a time. I seriously am fed up with them. They offered $10 compensation for my 2.5 weeks worth of problems. I told them that they had to be kidding themselves.

I have a friend in AZ that is on T-Mobile. She says she doesn't have problems with anyone else, but between her and I . . . the texting issues are pretty intermittent. It seems they work good when they work, fast quick texts, but when it's not working I never even get her texts. She seems to get mine, but many times they are delayed.
