Unhappy Sync/Delete Messages from Outlook to BB Handheld doesn't work

Please Login to Remove!

A big hello to all BESAdmins out there...

I have some users (about 10users from 1000) with the following problem:

Deleting of messages in outlook client doesn't reconcile/sync to Blackberry handheld! vice versa from BB Handheld to outlook syncs normally and reconciliation is o.k.! Also waiting for 15-20mins doesn't help - in messages menu "reconcile now" doesn't help.

I've already checked some issues as mentionned in KB:
KB11307 - Deleting messages in Microsoft Outlook does not delete message on BlackBerry device
everything checked - doesn't help! Cache Mode isn't the problem.
Hard-deletes are supported by our BES! (and the users don't hard-delete objects -> also checked).

Environment: BES 4.1.4.12
Exchange 2003 SP2 (affecting Outlook Versions: 2003).
Handhelds: 8100

Has anybody the same problem? Some idea to help me?

Best regards from Switzerland
Adi

Probably already mentioned.

On Conflict "Mailbox wins" is set on the blackberry right?

Also is there anything in your BES policies that would account for this behaviour, our BES doesnt really support hard deletes so i wondered how you managed that.

It's something you have to specifically configure in 4.1. Because it takes up memory space for the state database it was left disabled by default.

Have you tried performing soft-deletes with these users to see if it reconciles? Does it happen for all messages?

yes - already tried to do soft-Deletes - have still the same problem...
it happens to most of all messages (I know it's a bit a general answer).

do these users have anything in common? I'd next go through the logs and see if there are errors with these people or if there are any commonalities in their mail processing.

If you're not familiar with the BRK tools it may be best to open a call with T-Support and have them do the dirty work.

Ok - I think I'll have to open a support call at RIM... our logs are too heavy to analyze...

Thank you anyway!

We have the same problem. Deleteing from BB also deletes from outlook but if you delete from outlook, it won't delete messages from BB. Even if you reconcile now and wait. I thought this used to work but several of us are finding its not. I'd be curious to see if you found a solution.
