Default Outlook Trash

Please Login to Remove!

Hi, Is there any way that when we delete an email on the handheld it's gone forever on the handled and corporate email system to? We do not want that this email goes to Outlook trash…

Thanks,

There is no way to do a permanent delete from the BB. It will always go the Trash in Outlook. This is by design. You set your Trash to delete on a schedule or when closing it. That's the best option I can think of.

If you are on a BES you can purge your Deleted Items by going into Messages - Options - Email Reconciliation - Press the menu key and choose Purge Deleted Items.

Both are correct. It's a feature to allow retrival of deleted messages.

Slightly off-topic, but I'm on BIS and I too have this Purge Deleted Items option avail to me. What does it do in BIS?

John, where do you have this "Purge Deleted Items" option, on your BB or in on the PC?

It's on my BB, just where Mathew said it was:

Well, I am curious also, now. I have a feeling that it is a BES only option that does nothing on BIS (like the "Reconcile Now" on the Messages folder menu).

Let's see what a 'xpert has to say.

Oh no...
Another preconception bites the dust.

Here I am, pressing the Reconcile Now button, like an idiot, whenever I really needed synchronization, confident that it was doing something...

I guess it's like those people who push that button on the street corner, hoping that it actually interrupts the traffic signal and helps them cross the street...
