Back to 8800
Please Login to Remove!
Ok.... T-Mobile has replaced 4 8320's in the last 3 months for me.... I call a few days ago because # 4 is getting the white screen of death while on calls.... Call em up and they say they will not replace with another 8320 and my only option is the 8800... Agree after speaking the supervisor.... Got the 8800 today and already miss the 8320...
Dont get me wrong the 8800 is a nice device and I have had zero luck getting an 8320 that is rock solid and working.... So back to the 8800 I am....
Boohoo.....

i must be extemely lucky with devices, i havent had more than 1 or 2 die (normally my own fault). I usually just get OS version 2.0 on the device (horrible horrible orange text with mispellings, etc) and have to use jl commander to reload. Were these all hardware errors or software?

i may have gotten lucky, but an OS issue caused a dead radio on 2 NIB sprint 8130s. (couldnt even dial 911) i upgraded to the latest OS and the radio kicked right on.

Hehehehehe.... Ya tried several OS versions before even calling them.... Of course all but the original 8320 were refirbs and that may have been the issue....
I told the supervisor I DID NOT want another refirb and to send me a new device, he balked and said I could only get an 8800 NIB, so that's what I did.....

The vibrate motor in my 8320 works great....IF you hold the device upside down. If it's right side up, it's very slow.

Oh I had the 8800 when it 1st came out.... Really liked it and I loved the GPS.... I don't really consider it a downgrade from the 8320, but i do miss the 8320 size and keyboard.... On the other hand, this device is rock solid so far at day 2... The last 8320 they sent me lasted an hour.... And that's only because i tried 2 different OS versions on it before calling....
Still have the key for my LexSpell so it loaded up and working like a champ!

I loved my 8800 when I first got it too. So much so that I didn't really give the Curve a chance the first three times I had it. Now? Not so much.

The first THREE times you had one? Yikes, how many have you had?
BTW, great minds think alike I see - at least with regards to the direction we took with the "PIN" info on profile.
Oh, and my 8310 is red also - but I'm afraid I absolutely refuse to paint MY fingernails to match mine.

I've had 4 Dallas-the first died in an unfortunate, my name is Terita and I destroy phones episode. the second one I sent back in favor of keeping my 8800 (I couldn't justify paying $503 for a spell checker and a better shuffle feature). then I saw the gold one and fell in lust. went and bought it, decided I liked the my 8800 better again. then I was offered a deal I couldn't refuse...and got another one (titanium) for WAY cheap. that makes four. I'm keeping this one though. I even sold my 8800 so I wouldn't be tempted to go back.
re: the wine, I am waiting for a decent hour to open a bottle I have here now.
