Right now I use the Speck SeeThru case on my Pearl. I don't know about sexy, but I think it is pretty stylish. And it is a slim profile so it doesn't add a lot of bulk or weight to the device. I like it mainly because it protects the screen.

Jeremy does it have a clear screen. I looked it up when you sent me the page last time and I forgot to ask you, The web page pictures really dont show well.

I have used speck cases before and had fairly good luck. Also did you get the one with the holster?

It is somewhat clear. I do notice lines from the actual plastic, but I have gotten used to it.

I did get the clip on holster but I really don't use it. I just carry mine in my hand.

hmm do you work in Stone Mountain as well? I would love to come and see the case in action prior to buying it. I have a community at 78/rockbridge. Let me know.

We actually moved to Lilburn, only about 5 minutes away. I actually work at home (yay for me!). I will let you know of a time as I am off this week finishing up the move.

I use BodyGuardz complete protective skin (BodyGuardz - Scratch-Proof Transparent Protective Skins for BlackBerry Pearl 8120 / 8130) and then keep it in the pocket case my 8130 came with... this fits nicely in my back pocket and offers fantastic protection. This solution lets me take advantage of the power-saving features of the magnetic case and still offering ultimate protection.

I had 2 of the Seidio rubberized cases. Pros: they are very thin, adds almost no bulk to the unit, look excellent. Cons: they are very fragile. If you take it out very often you'll break the clips for sure. One lasted maybe 6 months, the other about 8. They are pricey also. No screen protection.

Hey guys, I actually found a great case that clips to your belt. Has anyone ever seen the cases that come with the 8830 Worldphone? I had been looking for this forever for the Pearl, and I happened to go into an AT&T store and they had it. It is a leather case that the Pearl slips into, has a magnet to turn off the screen and the flap is magnetic too. Pearl fits snug so there is no worry about the BB coming out. And the belt clip rotates. Awesome clip.

I use the bestskinsever cover. It was easy to put on and now I don't have to worry about scratching up the screen.

I have a BestSkinsEver screen protector, and a seidio rubberized case. Couldn't be happier

One question, though. Has anyone ever had to replace a BSE skin? How easy are they to remove? It went on like a dream, but I wondered about coming off while it was drying.

It is like peeling off a real bad sunburn...

When it does come time to replace it, just grab an edge and slowly pull...just worked on mine the other night.

Are you able to remove the battery without taking off the Seidio rubberized case?

Default Case for Blackberry Pearl 8100

My preferred case is the Sena Magnetflipper. Very high quality leather case with optional belt clip. Belt clip is the "Ultra Clip" used by a number of companies and is very solid. The Pearl has never popped off the belt or clip. To remove the Pearl you need to swivel it 90 degrees while pressing the release button so there is no chance of doing this by accident.

The leather flip flips from bottom to top to cover the front of the Pearl. Its magnet holds it in place and also activates the Pearls sleep function. So by setting "auto answer calls when out of holster" and "auto end calls into holster" in the phone options, the Pearl works just like a flip phone, open to answer, close to end. When the flip is open it seems to help direct your voice to the mike with improved sound on the other end and reduced noise pickup.

The case also has a very classy, high quality look. I have a black one for my black Pearl and my wife has a red one for her red Pearl. Both look great.

My only complaint (minor) is that because the flip goes upward, sometimes you can brush against something that opens the flip and, because of gravity, it won't close by itself the way it would if it flipped downward. It's really not much of a problem because a quick flip closes it again and the magnet holds it closed.

Take a look at Sena Cases - Premium Leather Cases : BlackBerry case, Treo case, iPod Touch case, iPhone leather case, and other PDA cases.

I have had Sena cases for Palms, Pocket PCs and Blackberries. They were all excellent and outlasted the devices every time.

Regards,

Carl
