Thumbs down My Review: Fortte Vertical Pouch for Curve

I placed an order on January 21st for this case. I ordered from this particular company because their promotional code listed in the sponsors section was enticing. The case was delived by UPS on February 15th. I knew there was going to be quite a wait since the case I ordered was considered a "special order." I had read their return policy and was concerned initially that their returns policy states that special orders cannot be returned. But I took the leap of faith anyways.

When I opened the shipping box, I noticed that their cardboard presentation box was pretty beat up. Almost as though they "recycled" it if you will. Not a huge issue with me, I support recycling, I ordered the case in the color cognac. In person it was much different looking than on the computer screen. When I took it outside to view in natural light, it was even more displeasing. In the natural light, I was also able to see that there was a gnarly crease in the leather running horizontally underneath the snap closure mechanism. Not something that would be spotted from a mile away, but also not something I expected in a case at this price level. I thought for a few days wether or not I wanted to use the thing. Eventually I forced myself to use it since I paid so much money for the dang thing. I hate wasting my families money.

Today makes it 1 month of usage. Last week I noticed the stiching is coming out of the backside where the flap connects to the case.

In conclusion, although this is the one and only case I have ever bought from Fortte, I do not think I can reccomend them. I am not back to using the horrible smelling one that came with my curve.

It concerns me to read this because you do not mention anything about trying to contact Fortte and voice your concern. Did you try to contact us? If a case we ship is defective or in any way different to what we offer, we MUST know about it . Send us an e-mail, let us review your complaint and hopefully we can turn you into a Fortte fan.

I have had several (4) Fortte cases for all of my blackberries over the years. And never had any issues with quality ever. As a matter of fact I always have upgraded the blackberry before I had to replace the case.

I did not feel it would have been right for me to request a refund since I chose to ignore the gnarly crease and use the case anyways. That was my choice not Fortte's. So there is really nothing to resolve,

You should have given them the chance. I hear they value customer feedback and would have worked to make you happy!
