Is it possible to buy the curve 8320 without a contract at an actual store or online?

Yes. That's how I got mine. Make sure it's brand new. If you buy it used, make sure the PIN has been released by the carrier to which it had worked before. If it has ever been on BES, you might need to load some blank IT policy for you to enjoy it.

You could try gsmphonesource.com--Adam sells unlocked 8320s.
As for the store, my sister didn't tell me which one at Queens.

You can buy it from T-Mobile without signing a contract. That's how I got mine.
