What I am gleaning is those that have no problem outside are at a higher latitude. And for the gentleman in Canada, Yes the sun does shine brightly but not as much as the equator. Not trying to be rude, and maybe the gentleman in Canada took it that way but it is a fact the sun is brighter when it is above you.

You sure seem to have a chip on your shoulder. People came and answered your thread about an outdated BB, and you call them an a$$?
It is terrible that RIM should make phones that are unuseable out doors.
They Dont the newer BBs have this fixed. Ever since the 7290, that has been the theme.
Wrong all BBs work out doors these days upgrade your eqipment Today I went oudoors to use an application and I could not because of the sun.
Buy a newer model and you wont have that issue. I moved in several directions.
Should have moved back indoors I guess as long as we buy their phones they will continue.
Yes they will continue to upgrade and dominate the market as they do now. Unfortunately the 7290 does not have a speakerphone, GPS, loud ringer, or wifi. I guess they don't have much sun in Canada so it is not much of a problem. I just had to get it off my chest.
