i hope it doesn't happen to you but, if you are on at&t, don't be surprised if you start dropping calls, and have issues with anything related to BIS...

my initial opinions were VERY similar to yours...

I've been running it for a about a week or so now on T-Mobile. I don't use MMS at all so the bug associated with sending larger MMS messages doesn't bother me much.

I did notice after installing it that my memory was quite chewed up (Checked it with ALT+CAP+H). So I cleared my logfile (Done with ALT+LGLG at the home menu) and after the clear and a battery pull I was right back to where I expected to be. Went from about 6mb free back up to 12-13mb free.

Still running solid, I love the new OS.. BUT, that annoying bluetooth headset with UMA causes drop and revert to EDGE bug is still there...

I have an 8310 running the 4.5 Beta and the signal drop issue is not ATT specific, although my phone drops signal sometimes 3 or 4 times a day (for only a couple seconds) then reconnects, I have never had it drop a call. It either locks into the signal better or I am just lucky, either way the signal drop has not been an issue for me. I've been using this OS for a couple weeks now and other than the signal issue and 1 app not working, the only other problem I have had is it that the phone has crashed a few times when attempting to stream youtube, which is very hit and miss of whether it works at all. Other than these issues, it's a great OS so far and the final release will be greatly welcomed.

I have OS4.5 on my BB8310 for 3 weeks and other than the youtube video bug I don't have any problems with any of all the other issues that people are reporting about.

so I have been using 4.5.0.18 on my 8320 now for almost a week and I have to say that it is rock solid, something i didn't experience with ver 10. Memory leaks, device resets and device responsiveness are a thing of the past. Like others I like the new GUI for web browser and email clients.

I am also using 4.5.0.10 and its been rock solid as well but I did find a few problems thou. Youtube does not work and I recently found out my camera does not work. I get an error, "could not start the camera. Close other applications and try opening the camera again."

No, but I doubt it'll be out for few more months. Still need to iron some kinks out first.

OTA updates won't work until your carrier has updated their BIS servers to the new OS, which won't happen until AFTER it gets a real public release.

.18 is pretty good. Maps is working now with service books. I don't believe the bluetooth bug with the keychain gps is fixed. I believe it is the sirf chip. Bluetooth still disconnects. Will try it again on my way home.
