Default Calendar deleting dates not due to memory!

Please Login to Remove!

My calendar deletes all entries after they have passed unless I had a reminder set for that specific entry. My memory is consistently about 10 MB and I have no problems losing emails so I know it's not a memory problem. I use google sync so I am wondering if the problem lies with google? My Curve is configured to keep calendar entries for 60 days as well.

Any help would be appreciated!!

I have a new device and I synced it once with no problem. I didnt sync today but lost all of my calendar entries and I have 21MB of file free memory. I can sync my calendar back but am interested in what others have to say on this.

Did you double check your settings in DM and make sure you don't have it set to only sync future items?

You lost all calendar entries without doing anything? No sync mishap or anything? Just disappeared?

I'm sure you looked at keep appointments setting in calendar options, but have to ask. That's all I can think of if they just disappeared on you.

If you meant Desktop Manager, google sync doesn't use it - it syncs wirelessly

I found this info from the different thread - looks like google sync is the culprit!

"Google Sync removes events older than 7 days from your BB. Major flaw! I have heard that if you set the option on your BB calendar to keep events to forever that MIGHT stop Google Sync from removing them. I just learned about this, before I verified if that change helped, I updated my BB OS which consequently reset Google Sync and I started over. It looks like on the re-sync, it did the past 7 days. I should know if this method works in the next day or two."

My fault. You said google and I missed it.

DM for what it's worth is Desktop Manager.

I was thinking google was the source of your trouble but held back because I don't use it. Glad you are finding some answers.

Try deleting the calendar database via DM and re-syncing it should fix your problem. Give me your email address I'll send you instructions on clearing the handheld database.

Would this solve the problem if I am using google sync instead of DM?

I'm skeptical, but it wouldn't hurt to try. And this is VERY IMPORTANT: Do a backup beforehand!

If you give this a go, you are going to be downloading and installing DM anyway, so use it to backup the blackberry before you delete the calendar database. If you mess up, you can do a restore.

And make it a habit to backup regularly. You'll be glad you did one day.
