What is MMS and how is it different from SMS messaging. I just tried to MMS my daughter's phone (LG/Verizon) and it didn't go through.

Also I am not sure for the 7250 but for example the 7100i only can send MMS messages and will not allow you to send SMS. In that case you need to use a service like text flip and send texts via email

MMS (Multi-media Messaging System) is for multi-media files (photos, video, sound clips, etc.), while SMS (Short Messaging System) is strictly for text only.

I may err on this: MMS requires a data plan, while SMS does not. (Anyone?)

Not true. MMS and SMS are different, but act the same.
