I have looked under every setting i could think of and I would really like to know how to make the BB messenger have a notification tone when i get a new message????

Also, I'm sure this one is simple... How do I turn off the network coverage beep? I have a bluetooth headset, and when I am wearing it up North it beeps in my ear as it fads in and out of the network coverage area(bell mobility).

2. I think you only get a beep when you are OUT of network coverage. I don't know of a way to disable this.

Thanks. The network thing isn't a big deal (i can always just take my bluetooth off), but I would like to know if anyone has an idea.

I did view that link and I have tried to change the "messenger" options, but still it doesn't ring when I receive a new IM from BB Messenger. :(

I'm guessing you're missing something, then. It's a basic feature. Make sure it's not set to Mute and that its set to ring and not vibrate. Are you setting for Messenger - New Message?

ok I will double check everything, but the network thing is odd still. Normal POS cell phones have a setting that normally allowed them to change network notifications, but its hidden well on this BB (if it exists)

There is not a setting to turn off the bluetooth beeping when out of coverage. If you're out of coverage that often that it's annoying why would you need the bluetooth on your ear?

Because I am driving home it nice to be able to just leave it on for the 3 hour event, but it's not the end of the world or anything. More than anything, I just wanted to findout if there was a way to do it.
