As fellow AT&T users know some of their new Blackberrys have blackberry maps blocked out. (empty service book on my 8310)

I loaded the new app Carfinder (nice), and noticed that after you tag your location, you have the option to find your car using blackberry maps. I tried it and lo-and-behold blackberry maps starts up and works fine. I also noticed that maps appears in the "switch application" menu after that.

so .... it would seem that if we could create a link somehow then we could get to bb maps just like the carfinder app does.

any ideas?

On my 8110, when I click on BB Maps in CarFinder, I get a message box that says "Maps has been disabled" (-1 point for grammar - and another for misspelling Solipistec on the mobile BB Web site).

What do you think is wrong with their grammar? Maps is the name of the application. It has been disabled.
