Have them type in the wrong password 10 times and the device will wipe itself and will allow you to disable the password or put a new one in it!
Since there is not data there is no problem!!! Tell them if they forget after data is on it they are gonna lose it all!

Is there an easier way to do this without wiping everything? Or a way to back up everything, then reset it? Thanks.

no there is not. that would defeat the purpose of the password protection if you could get the information off first.

If you are on BES, you can reset the password through there. If not, you can't.

Is there a way to back your data up? Or would you do that on your memory card?

yes you use Desktop Manager to back it up. But you have to have the password on the device.

Yea, I have a mac so I guess to back it up I would have to invest in either pocketmac or missingsync. Bummer.
