The OS isn't ready yet, though they might release it any way. (See 4.5.0.37 for GSM). I hope they hold off and get it working right. August/September is a good time frame. Are you looking for the documents to go feature? You can try to download from Dataviz and see if the installer works on 4.3

That is exactly what I was looking for. I am in medicine and would like to have my notes that are in word format on my Treo to transfer over. I am sure I can do trhis. I am also looking for the 4.5 to clean up the current non html format. Thank you everyone for your reply.

My corp VZW reps (who supply me with seeding devices) first told me... June/July time frame... a few weeks ago, the changed that to July/August time frame.

Hard to say. While new devices get official release dates announced, OS releases generally do not. When it's out you'll see a post in the your device's forum and that's about as good as it gets for now.

I'm getting my 8330 delivered today. Currently on my pearl I have the BBsmart email viewer software which I love but was a bit pricey at $25 (I think thats what I paid). I had planned on buying it again for my 8330 but should I just wait for the 4.5 update? I was reading that the 4.5 will allow HTML emails...is that correct?

Yes it will. Just get the trial version of BBsmart and then when that runs out try Empower.

It has been stable on my device so far but since the BIS hasen't been upgraded the only major improvement I see so far over 4.3 is the Docs to go. Might almost be worth waiting for the official release unless you are the adventurous type!

2 problems:

1. the voicenotes are able to send but upon receiving I get the dreaded "buffering" status.
2. I couldnt fill in a form for a password in the browser.

That's all I needed to go back to 4.3. NO major improvements at all.

My 4.5 for the 8330 (Sprint) didnt have docs to go I dont think...

Just email BB Smart with your new PIN number and they will give you a new activation code...

I was just told last night from a guy @ sprint that the 4.5 update would come out "sometime in August". We'll see...

cause sprint and alltel use a third party mms carrier and they will only work with the new 4.5 updates. I have a alltel curve. that is basically running 4.5 without dataviz. It is currently the only bb that will mms on alltel. The pearl which is still 4.2 will not. So it should enable it with Sprint. Just a guess, but that is what I would say.
