Getting a 8330 on sprint soon.. Does anybody know if Sprint or Rim will come out with the software for Wi-Fi access??

From what I've read, having wifi is a little pointless when its already running 3G.

You actually was able to get your hands on one? For the past couple weeks, the curve on sprint has been sold out and with alot of very unhappy people who have put in orders and still have not received their phone.

WEll we havea Business account and our Rep ordered them on Thur and Said they would be here by Mon or Tue at the latest. So i'm Assuming that its on its way.

Rumor has it the Nextel 'Curve' (or whatever it will be called) that is supposed to come out late '08 or early '09 will have Wi-Fi.

Well, since EVDO (Rev A or not) is 3G, yes.

UPS guy Just delivered my Curve from Sprint.. I will be charging it over night and activating it Tomm. I can't wait to start to use it. Anybody have any advice for me??

I just ordered mine through Sprint on Saturday. The guy *claimed* they were in stock.

Did he lie through his teef?

Its a hit and miss thing. They apparently don't have their ordering procedures organized. It seems to me they don't ship out in the same order that orders are received. I've visited other forums, mainly sprints forums, and alot of unhappy people about their curve orders. There are quite a few who get theirs within a day or two of placing their orders and then there are those who get it a week or more later. Just keep calling their order support and keep checking your order status online. I placed my order on 6/23 and was told it was on backorder and to wait a week or so. The very next day I noticed there were tracking numbers on my status page and received my phones on 6/25. Don't always believe what telesales tells you, but that goes for all sales people over the phone. Although sprint has terrible customer service at times, if you didn't already know, they do have excellent phone/data coverage.

Oh by the way....you'll love the curve!!!

Thanks! Where can I check my order status? The guy I ordered from (phone order) was all but impossible to understand. He gave me tracking #, but I was too frustrated to try and ask him where to track my order. For all I know the tracking # is wrong anyway. He was impossible to understand!

Sprint | Check Your Order Status

They should have given you an order number. But if you got a tracking number then just go to UPS.

Thanks! I called, and checked my order. The woman told me it was shipped and is on its way, and that it is scheduled to be here on Wednesday.

Out of curiosity, I checked the tracking # myself on the UPS site. It left the local warehouse at 8:28 this AM for delivery! A day early. FABULOUS! Woo-Hoo!!!!!

I ordered my Curve via Sprint.com on Friday (4th of July) and got a tracking # on Sunday night. It'll be delivered this afternoon or tomorrow.

i work for sprint and you can place the orders and usually within a week Sprint will ship them, they don't have any in stock but the fullfill the backorders quickly.
