Default Trouble with BB Curve 8310

Please Login to Remove!

How do you completely delete applications from the Curve as well as the ICONs from the Main screen?
I have tried deleting the app in the App loader but it doesn't appear there! I deleted them from the Apps in the Advanced section of Options which may have screwed things up...I loaded some Google apps and Worldmate Live (free) and I get the error "uncaught exception.lang NullPointerException"

Members talk about Service Books but I wish someone would explain them and how and what do you delete from them?

I upgraded to 4.3 but I too am getting the hourglass at various times and it goes forever...I take the battery out but no fix.
Any help out there would be appreciated! Just plain frustrated.

Generally speaking 3rd party apps are best deinstalled via DM - if they donŽt show there, somethings messed up. Maybe you deleted the application already and only the icon is left ... which would be deleted by deleting the respective servicebook. Unlikely, but possible.

The hourglass is usually shown for a long time (up to 30 minutes) when the device reboots after performing a firmware upgrade to 4.3 or 4.5.

If you like to have a clean device IŽd recommend to nuke the 8310 via JL_Cmder and perform a firmware update to OS 4.5 since 4.3 is somewhat buggy and therefore wasnt even released by some carriers.

Hope this helps a bit ...

Thanks for the suggestions. I think it is messed up and it's time for an overhaul. Where do I find JL_Cmder? I the thought 4.5 was screwed up also?

Before I nuke my 8310, can anyone answer the above questions?
