Do you have a media card?
You can just plug your bb up to ur computer via usb cable and just drag and drop songs to you music folder.

Yep! Not only that, but you can also use something like Audacity to make your own ringtone out of your own songs! Beyond this point, you ain't a retard until you pay $ 3.99 for a 20-second snippet of a song. :P
