Default New to blackberries. A couple o questions.

Please Login to Remove!

1. Are things like email free on a blackberry or do i have to pay for them?
2. Do I have to pay for these or can I just not use them?
3. Is there anyway to use internet on it for free?

Thanks in advance.

The short answer to all of these is pretty much no. If you get the 8320 you can get free internet with a wifi connection but that's about it.

it all depends on which blackberry you have. if you have one with wifi, you are free to surf the web by connecting to a wifi network. getting emails or surfing the web without wifi requires a data which costs $. but if you had wifi, you can just go to your email's website and check it there. BOTTOM LINE IS YOU NEED WIFI TO USE THE INTERNET FOR FREE

The BB data plan makes things much simpler IMHO.

The 8330 does not have Wi-Fi. Please go to BlackBerry FAQ - BlackBerryFAQ for more info.

Good luck!

What Carrier? (I'm on WAP and can't see it.)

If it's Verizon, they force you to get and pay for a data plan whether you want one or not.

So does ATT. If you buy a BB you have to get a BB data plan. And if you drop it, and they catch it, you will be charged full retail.
