It’s an instant messenger for BB’s. Generally you use the device pin to message someone.

For your Pin go to options and status.

Nope it uses data from the BB data plan

You need a data plan to use it or any other IM program, for example, Yahoo, AIM, Google Talk.

ohh yea i actually got the data plan thnx to you guys on the thread where i asked about it so it uses the data plan nice kool so all i need is the bb pin of another person and they need mine right?

Yes.

Only one person really needs the PIN. They can initiate the invitation to be 'BB buddies', the other person can just accept it.

To make sure everything works right, when you get someones pin add them to your address book prior to adding them in the BBM.
