Default Any way to get wireless calendar sync with BIS?

Please Login to Remove!

Hi folks,

I'm a longtime BBer but always on a corporate BES system.

My wife is interested in getting one, for her personal business, and specifically is interested in the calendar sync OTA function. But, I understand that's not part of what you get with BIS. Or, am I wrong?

Is there any way to wirelessly sync calendar items with BIS, or is she consigned to cable-based syncing? She will likely be using Outlook 2003 as her calendar on her PC.

Or is there a different product that would be better for her?

Marc

Wirelessly posted (Verizon 8830)

Google has a free product that syncs with their calendar.

Wirelessly posted (BB 8330)

You can also use BB Unite.

I use Google Calendar Sync. have it set up as 2 way for my primary laptop and BB and one way (Google to PC) for the desktop, home PC and wife's PC. Works great other than the occasional duplicated event.

I though that the BB Unite program had it's own calendar setup to sync with the Blackberry OTA. Does it even sync with outlook at all?

For retail solutions, Search on BBerrysync in the aftermarket forum, or go to BBerrysync - OTA Sync.

There's another company doing this as well - also has a thread in the aftermarket sw section, but can't remember their name.

Another free option is Funambol. It syncs all your PIM information.
