Default Appointments disappearing in Calendar

Please Login to Remove!

According to Desktop Manager my Calendar has 900+ records, but they don't show up.

I've tried everything that I could think of, plus following advice from here and from FAQ (thanks, by the way!)

When I sync with yahoo, it does add records to the BB calendar (the number keeps going up). But, the new appointments disappear along with all the old ones.

Does anybody have any idea what could be going on?

Is your calendar set to show all calendars?

Go into your calendar and press the BB key and choose the "Select Calendar" option and choose "Show all calendars."

Also, is your BB's default calendar set to your Yahoo email account?

Options>Advanced Options>Default Services...Calendar (CICAL) should be set to your Yahoo account.

"Calendar (CICAL)" is not there!

Default The appointments are in there, but...

they only show up in Agenda mode. And, won't show anything newer that 9/17.

This is getting weider.

Hi...

Re-register your device and it should reset the CICAL service book.
Did you do a battery pull??

Yes on the battery pull.

How do I re-register?

Go to your BIS site on your computer and select the options to send service books. That might fix it.

To re-register on your network (the other suggestion above), go to Options>Advanced Options>Host Routing Table and press the Blackberry key and select "Register Now."

On mine it does not. (4.5.0.81) I think it is part of the core OS.

I was just thinking about the 4.5 OS that supports multiple calendars. It sounds like your calendar is still giving you heartburn and almost sounds like you have multiple calendars.

One other item. You could backup your current device, go to the Advanced in Backup and clear your current calendar. Then re-sync from Yahoo. (providing you have CICAL in service books and/or re-registered the device which will push your service books again)

That does makes sense (what hmeister suggests)...delete the current calendar from the device (load DM, go to Backup, go to Advanced, find the two calendar databases listed on the window on the right, highlight them and select Clear.

Then resend service books, re-register on the network, set the correct email address to be the CICAL default, and then re-sync.

Easy! ;)

1. I re-registered my device. That's ok now.

2. OS is v4.2.2.180 (the latest from T-Mobile)

3. I had service books sent and now have CICAL is Service Books (but not in Default Services.

4. Yesterday I backed up and cleared the BB Calendar; didn't help.

5. My email account is set up in the BB.

6. NOW-- A NEW WRINKLE: when I try to sync, it says that it is reading the Yahoo data, then "one moment please" and then stops.

Hi...

Check out this thread here.
About half way down the user klutgens used a different way to authenticate to yahoo calendar. I am not sure if this is what will fix your situation but it is worth a try.

Before I follow through on the next steps, maybe you can clear one thing up:

I can't find "SHOW ALL CALENDARS". I opened Calendar, hit the BB button and saw a menu with: help; today; go to date; Prev Day; Next Day.... all the way down to Options; Switch Application; Close.

No SHOW ALL CALENDARS. Am I looking in the wrong place?

What OS are you running?
OPTIONS / STATUS
Multiple calendars are supported in 4.5 OS. I am not sure if this is the issue with you not being able to see this when hitting the menu button while inside the calendar as you may be running an earlier OS version. I suspect your on 4.2 or 4.3 OS?

On my phone, it's under options / about. V. 4.2

So, maybe Select Calendars is irrelevant and the problem is someplace else.
