I have searched high and low and cannot figure this out.
I upgraded to beta .97 this morning. I did a complete wipe and started over for fun. I should note I am on a BES, of which I am an administrator.
I use several shortcuts regularly from the desktop. Specifically, NYTimes, ESPN, The Weather Channel, Fox News and BBWap.
If I browse the internet from the browser icon, any page I pick works fine, including the sites that are navigated to via the shortcuts above. When I request a page, I get a white screen with the BlackBerry logo on it until the page loads. This is the normal behavior I have come to expect.
HOWEVER, since this upgrade, when I load NYTimes, ESPN, or Fox News, the browser opens with the Verizon Wireless logo and eventually I either get an error stating the "connection timed out" or that there was an error with the selected provisioning server. The other shortcuts show the Blackberry logo and load the page normally.
I have messed with every default browser setting and reset defaults, etc. I have re-sent all service books, re-registered on the network, etc. I have no clue what to do next. Perhaps call VZW in the morning.
I have been playing with this problem and finally got it.
I deleted the "Blackberry Internet Browsing Service" service book, then re-registered and did a battery pull. Now all browser screens work and all shortcuts work.
