I cannot get the ABC button to dissapear from the upper right hand corner on my 7100 from T-Mobile. It used to never be there - how can I get rid of it?

To toggle between ABC (MultiTap) and SureType you hold * for a second while you're in a text field such as an e-mail or memopad. If you already knew about that, I don't know, I didn't see anything about a default typing method in the settings.

The ABC does show up whern you turn on Multitap just as corruptblitz said. I have seen on a couple where when going back to the home screen it will stay on the screen for a few seconds. But, it will then go away. I have not seen it ever just stay on the screen. What OS version are you running??
