Yesterday i had 27 mb of memory. I deleted a blackjack game. Deleted the beta 4.2 opera mini and downloaded the offical release of it and now i only have 24 mb.deleted all sms. Deleted internet cache and history. And used the memory cleaner and deleted the events log then did a battery pull and still only have 24 mb. Where did that other 3 go?

24 is still very good. Perhaps the latest version of Mini was just a bit bigger than the other version? If you were asking about 10MB I might agree something is odd... but for 3MB?

And FYI - memory cleaner doesn't do what you think it does. It is a security-based tool that does not free up memory.

I begged to differ on that...I run memory cleaner once every 3 days or so, and each time I get 2-4MB of memory back.

According to many of the old timers on here, it does not free up memory. I'm not able to argue it because I haven't bench marked it, so I was just regurgitating what I thought to be fact.

I know, a lot of people say that it doesn't free up memory. But every time I run it, my free memory increases.

My take on it is that it is a security tool that clears data out of cache, clipboard, etc... so that data that is ordinarily "Content Protected" isn't able to be read from non-Protected locations like the clipboard. But if you clear the cache or clipboard, I'd expect it to free up at least some memory...

Same here and I've tested it by doing several memory cleaner, check memory cycles in a row to be sure. There's less of an improvement each cycle but it does keep improving.
