RIM_TMO Error Message

I just receievd a replacement 8320 Curve for a previous device that was bad. The new device came with the updated software, V4.5.0.81. This software has automatically loaded numerous "clip art" pictures under the my fav picture directory. Anyway to delete these locked pictures?
Bigger issue - When I try to crop and save a picture that I took for a my fav icon the system clocks, times out, and I get an exception error that there is a RIM_TMO file error and I have to take out the battery to clear the error. I have spoken to T-Mobile and they are no help. Can anybody assist? With the new version of the software can you not use a picture taken with a camera and not your blackberry device?
