When my BB boots, I get the error: Uncaught Exception: Permission Denied. No other clue as to how to get rid of this error. Any ideas?

Is that all it gives? No application mentioned? Does it continue to boot up and work as advertised or does it die?

What 3rd party apps have you loaded or what settings have you changed just before this happened?

Do you have a backup from just before this started? If so use it.
