I have just notice when i am on the homescreen and use the bb menu button to get the drop down menu,when i press the "options" part it takes me to the homescreen preference page,when i close out of the page and try hitting the "options" on the drop down again nothing happens,the menu just goes away. only after a battery-pull can i get it to work again,and only for the first time after the pull. The strange thing is, i tried this on another storm and the same thing happens-is this normal or am i doing something wrong?( both storms running .75 OS)

I've had my Storm for only 6 days, so I've been playing around with it a lot. When I have been in the full menu and push the menu button, then options, it's been fine up until today. However, tonight I tried changing my number of home screen keys to 1 row instead of 2 to see how it looked. I immediately tried to go back in to change it back to 2 rows, and when I pushed Options nothing happened.

I started researching the problem online and found this forum. I took the battery out and was able to get into options one time after that, but now it isn't doing anything again. I could understand if my Storm was having this problem since day 1, but why would it work fine for 6 days and then suddenly stop? Any thoughts and/or suggestions as to how to fix the problem?

I have been having the same problem. I noticed it after I downloaded a new theme. I am wondering if it has anything to do with the way the theme was created. So I guess the next question would be, what kind of downloads or changes have you made to the device since you got it?

It could just be a coincidence that I noticed it after the download, but I don't think so...

I bought my bb storm in December, the only problems I've had with it is sporadic rebooting with the white screen. Maybe once or twice a month. I could live with it.

Then it was brought to my attention that a new app/os was out. v.4.7.0.75. I updated that last week. Ever since then, whenever I used my bbm messenger or read through my messages....mid message....."Device Error" white screen, reboots...

I was so frustrated! It had never ever said device error. It occurred maybe 3,4,5 times a day. I got so fed up that I went to the verizon dealer and they resest my hard drive. Wiped everything clean. Well, supposedly thats supposed to get rid of 99.7% of the problems. Got back to work, and 15 minutes later, device error again. Called up verizon, and they are sending me a new phone. Most likely a refurbished one!!! Evil verizon!

Hopefully my new one that I get in two days will be okay.
