Okay, just opened the package of my (barely used UNLOCKED Storm) from eBay. Popped the battery in and the phone doesn't come on. Then I connect the charger cable I keep getting this Battery symbol with lightning through it. This product has been shipping for over a week (I'm in the Bahamas), so I'm hoping that the battery just needs a good charge and then I will be ready to go.
Okay, now it keeps trying to start showing the little clock thing then it shuts down again. It's doing this over and over. Definite improvement from battery with lightening.
I guess the battery still doesn't have enough juice to get it going all the way.
Man I am amped to get this thing started. I will continue to sit here and watch the phone charge seeing that I'm so pressed...
I took out the charger and it started to boot up to the welcome screen and then died again. Now I have the battery with lightening symbol again.
I think it's clear that the battery is really empty. I'm going to reluctantly (and I mean RELUCTANTLY) let it sit for an hour or so on the charger before messing with it again.
Let it sit overnight - the battery symbol with lightning bolt means it's charging. If you're charging via usb/pc cable, it may not charge properly unless you have the drivers installed. I second steveoevets - wall chargers work much faster.
I got the phone to load all the way but it cut out. I pull the battery and pop back in and nothing happens at all unless I put the wall charger back in.
When I put the wall charger back in it lights up red and shows the battery/lightning bolt deal for a while then it when the battery has enough juice it starts that rebooting over and over again. I get the little clock it spins for about four rotations then it cut's out goes red (little light) then starts over again.
However if I pull the wall charger out, it will reboot all the way, but only to cut out after a few seconds.
It's almost as if the battery isn't really accepting the charge all the way.
I'm getting worried. Any help will be appreciated. I could let it sit overnight but it will only to that rebooting thing all night.
Update: Everything is running fine now, looks like she's fully charged and I'm using the local GSM netwrok here in the Bahamas without any issues.
Tomorrow I go to my phone company and tried to get my Data and Service books sent over (currently on my curve), hopefully all goes well there. I guess I won't have a browser until that's done, correct?
Only issue is the guy I bought the storm from forgot the usb cable, so I have to wait on that to get here.
