Does anyone know how Cingular normally roles out their new in-demand models? I use to have ATT Wireless and they would make new units available for sale through their business channel first, then a period of website sales only, then there premier stores would receive units, and finally all stores (meaning the smaller ones) one get the units. Sometimes there would be up to a month or more between when you could buy a new phone on their website and when it showed up in all stores.

Any clues on how Cingular will sell the 8700?

As an indirect sales rep. Cingular normally rolls the new models out to Corporate locations first, then premier agents (such as my company with a large amount of stores selling solely Cingular), then indirect agents, such as H.A.N.D wireless or Action wireless.
