I found with my 8830, I became somewhat dependent on the ability to bring the LCD to full brightness with a push of the power button on top. This helped compensate for my 48 year old eyes and in certain situation made it readable for me. Is there an equivalent button on the Storm that will accomplish this? I don't want to turn off the Auto Dim, because at full brightness, it is often too bright in low light. Any ideas would be appreciated.

U said any ideas would be appreciated so I'm throwing this out to you....its actually a bug in the software but at least on all five storms I've had, even if it dims down...putting in landscape brings it up again regardless of natural lighting...lol

Mine never dims down. It is constantly on which is annoying and worries me. I think the screen is going to burn out quicker. My 8830 used to go into a sleep mode and the screen would go dark untill I pressed any key. This Storm just stays on and never rests.
