Question 8330 Ringtone Question & Profiles

Please Login to Remove!

Question...

I have different RT's set up for friends and family and they ring in all profiles. My question/issue is if I have a custom profile that's named WORK and it's enabled is there a way to have all calls use the default profile for that setting?

Look forward to your responses.

Thanks in advance!

You can make those adjustments under Profiles>Advanced. Select the profile you want, then make exceptions for it.

Trimix,

Thanks a lot, I should have looked that AFTER I had added a few. Thanks again!

I think I'm still not getting it....

I go into the PROFILES menu
My Active Profile is set to "office"
Click Advanced
Scroll down to the USE ACTIVE PROFILE EXCEPT FOR section and uncheck all except for IMPORTANT

I back out to the main screen

Now I go into the PROFILES menu again
Select NORMAL as my active profile
Go back and Click Advanced
Scroll down to the USE ACTIVE PROFILE EXCEPT FOR section and that I unchecked remained unchecked...

Do the selections under the "USE ACTIVE PROFILE EXCEPT FOR" section work at the root level?

Again what I'm trying to do is

When I'm at work I use the OFFICE profile all incoming calls use the Notifier_Lucid ringtone.

When I set the profile to DEFAULT the ringer is set to ringer_BBPro_2 for all incoming calls BUT.... I want to enable separate ringtones for certain individuals as well.

Can this be done? If so, what aren't I getting LOL

Thanks for your time and patience.

If I'm understanding you correctly, then yes it can be done.

Go to your work profile, and under USE ACTIVE PROFILE EXCEPT FOR, select a group like IMPORTANT, press the BB/menu key, and then EDIT.

There you can add a list of people's names for who you want to use the default profile, and you can specify the type of profile to be used or specific ringtone.
