I am using the BB simulator (for the 8820) with Eclipse and the latest plugin.

In my code, I have calls to System.out.println(), whose output goes to the Console window in Eclipse.

But the console window is also gettng tons of other output, not coming from my code. Much of it looks like:

VM:+GC(F)w=11
VM:-GCt=7,b=1,r=0,g=1
VM:+CR
switch_input_method
UIE: Focus - target lost, prev=net.rim.device.internal.ui.InputMethodSwitche r@5abbe4f6

What is this stuff and how can I stop it? It totally gets in the way for my println calls.

You can't. This stuff you refer to is RIM trace information.
