Default Bold Themes

Please Login to Remove!

Hi folks,

I've been looking around for a few weeks now (in here and on other forums) but I've yet to find some really nice free Bold themes...can anyone point me in the right direction?

Cheers,

Andy

Excellent, some great themes!

One slight problem, I can install all themes that are in ".alx" format, but the themes in ".jad" format don't install using desktop manager?

What am I doing wrong?

The themes there (at least the vast majority of them) are all OTA installs, which means you can't install via Desktop Manager. You need to download using your Blackberry browser.

Some times you'll see ZIP files which you can unzip and install via Desktop Manager. If a theme isn't offered in ZIP format, check the theme designer's first post in each thread. Many state upfront that it will only be offered in OTA, so don't bother asking those for ZIPs. There are certain (actually I'd say most) theme designers that won't offer ZIP since there are piracy concerns. Generally if ZIP is going to be available, it's made available before the OTA version. You'll find that most people actually prefer OTA's.

By the way, PMB's one of my favourite sites. Look into Premium membership there. It's very reasonable and gives you valuable benefits.

Excellent, so lets see if I understand you right, I navigate to that website using my Blackberry and download directly from there and I should be able to install the theme? Or is there any other manual process involved?

Thanks again,

Andy

Thats correct my friend, navigate to the site with your berry and it once you click on something you want to download it will automatically prompt you with a pop up window. Other than that the other files that cannot be downloaded from your berry must be sync over using Desktop manager.
