Default vendor.xml file ?????

Please Login to Remove!

I've had my Storm 9530 for @ a month, and in that time I've upgraded my OS a couple times up to .114 . Now I'm back to .75 and I'm pretty happy with it.

Sorry, now for my question.

What is the "vendor.xml file"? Also why and when should it be deleted. I've searched thru the Forum and can't find an answer.

TIA

The reason you delete it is because say, for instance, Bell releases a release for the 9530. You have Verizon. The OS won't work on your phone because it's locked to the Bell Vendor. Deleting that file will not tell the phone that it can't be used because it's not a Bell phone. It will install on any compatible device when that file is missing.
