Default Battery Life

Battery less then 3mo old. All settings to minimal. Not getting advertised standby time. Drains to 20% over 6hrs. Ideas? Thankyou.

how many applications are running in the background?
Do you make alot of calls? this causes the battery to drain faster than anything else (emails, sms, wi-fi on etc).
do you have 3G dropping or low signal of 3G? trying to establish a connection with 3G can also drain the battery.
do you have wi-fi or bluetooth constantly on?

Probably best to do a reset or battery pull when you don't plan to use the phone. That will stop all you're background apps. See what battery life looks like after sitting overnight.

Applications that kill the battery even in background are GPS programs like Google with Latitude and IM programs (although I haven't used these in a long time).

Maybe upgrade (or downgrade) your OS. That helped me :P

i was experiencing poor battery life when i upgraded to .247. i downgraded to .221 and it's been pretty good, though i REALLY miss the menu quick launch and the escape closing the app button. *sigh*
i'm considering perhaps upgrading again to see if mebbe it was a fluke (the poor battery life) since i've read that so many have had just the opposite result.

as stated to your other post about this
the escape button closes the app on all OS's. it is not a new feature of .247

but for all others apps its quick and easy
