I have a gmail account set up through BB Internet Service on my 8130 (Verizon).

I have had it this way for years, and when I read an email on my BB, it would stay bold in Gmail, that way when I logged in, I could see which ones I hadn't seen on the computer yet (don't ask me why I want this, but I'm ADD and liked it like this).

I reinstalled my OS the other day (along with an upgraded copy of DM) and now it marks them all as read in Gmail when I view them on my BB.

Anyone know why? Is this something Gmail started doing?

Yeah, BIS 2.6 implemented IMAP for Gmail accounts. However, in order to see the change it would have required that you deleted and re-added your account...

Mine does it more often when I have gmail set to my primary email account (which I do). So it may be partially both, but there is times where it wont mark them as read.. *shrugs* I stopped asking it why it did it =)
