i use my BB 8120 pearl camera today and i zoomed it but i doesnt zoom in nor zoom out. its stuck to 200+ and 1x. whats the remedy on this?

my other problem, i dont konw how to type all numbers or all uppercase. what i do is press the shift button in each and every letter or number that i would select and its very irritating. is there a way to do this?

could be your os.I had same problem with my 8130 camera zoom where it would not zoom.i upgraded os to the 4.5 version and it has worked fine since that point.

the trackball functions normally except when i use it in camera mode.

yes youre right, i have a problem using the caps lock or num lock. i checked the manual of BB 8120 and it says that you have to hold the shift key or num key everytime you press such. i guess in typing in uppercase or numbers then you have to use both hands as it does have a "lock" function just like a normal qwerty keyboard.

probably, but i use it normally before. i also turned off and on my BB 8120 but still it wont zoom in nor zoom out.

probably. my OS is still original. its V4.5.0.52. is there a newer OS? if so, how can i upgrade it?

I have an 8120 from Orange UK , and the zoom worked fine on V4.5.0.52 , I have now upgraded to 4.5.0.124 on the link below yesterday, I had a problem with the camera not working , but a reset appears to have fixed it.

mine is 8120 pearl from Orange UK also. a relative gave it to me as gift when he came home here in Philippines. the camera works fine but after a 2weeks of using it, it wont zoom anymore.

FWIW I noticed this afternoon that the zoom on my 8330 camera quit working. It was working a few weeks ago and I haven't upgraded the OS. (The trackball isn't broken). I checked my girlfriend's phone (also an 8330) and her camera zoom has also ceased working.

well thats one of the bugs of BB i guess. just dont mind it and it will be soon ok just like mine....
