Does anyone know if that is actually metal (the part that looks like metal) or is it plastic

I have some scratches on it. Is there something that will remove them (I tried that dysplex but they are too deep

It's plastic w/ chrome plating. You can get a new bezel at cnn.cn and search for the 8900.

ever so much I never would have known that name. Is there someone who would put it on?

Maybe a place like cellular electronics in themall or would you not trust them goto someone else

There's a video online that shows you how to replace the bezel. There's also several threads on here that have a DIY on how to remove and replace the bezel.

I'm pretty sure there's plenty of replacement covers on Ebay...
