I recently stopped by my local verizon retail sales shop to ask about the upcoming Verizon-Alltel merge. As I began to ask him questions about it I was told blah blah blah I want to sell you this phone. Realizing I was at a sales store instead of a Verizon main store, I quickly caught on to the fact that half of what he was saying was B.S.

I figured I would come on here and ask. I am wanting the matte black blackberry curve but I want Verizon as I have heard Alltel is not worth going to. Does anyone have any information on the merge as to if I were to get the matte Curve on an Alltel plan how would it work, would it be on Verizon service anytime soon.

OR, is there a way to unlock the matte one from alltel and get it to work on Verizon? I need some help here, I really want the black one.

bmwmotorsports, i have alltel, and i love my plan. why did someone tell you it wasn't worth going? yes, they are migrating all to verizon, however, if you get an alltel contract before it happens, you will be "grandfathered" in. At least that is what i was told. i get 10 my circle numbers to call for free on any network, plus my data plan is great.

sorry i can't help with the black, matte question though...
