Hi,
I have a new Blackberry Curve 8900 from Vodafone Deutschland. I was trying to setup an app called FlyCast but the setup screen asks for an APN.
The default APN on the enter your APN line is:
live.vodafone.com
the default enter your APN user is:
vodafone.live
the last entry is Enter your APN password:
(left Blank)
An error message comes back stating the blackberry cannot connect with these settings.

An internet search showed that if I change the settings to
enter your APN user:
web.vodafone.de
enter your APN user:
blank
Enter your APN password:
blank

then I can connect but these settings mean I am not covered in my blackberry data plan and will have to pay extra fees for data downloads.

I found that the correct setup for covered data downloads would be:
enter your APN user:
wap.vodafone.de
enter your APN user:
blank
Enter your APN password:
blank

This setup almost connects but still sends an error message stating the configuration is not correct.

Can anyone tell me the correct configuration for wap.vodafone.de?

I suspect this applies to any data intensive downloading apps.
